Venice Nutrition Head Chef Valerie Cogswell and I oversaw the recipes. This collection is a mixture of recipes developed by Chef Valerie, Venice Health Professionals, and other 8 Week Runners just like you. Chef Valerie has also provided her top recipes for each phase—these recipes have two asterisks (**) by the recipe title.
The recipes are presented in the order of breakfast, lunch, dinner, shakes, and plant based. In this phase there is a bonus dessert and side dish section. The calories and macronutrient breakdowns (protein, carbohydrates, and fat) are listed based on serving size, and each recipe can be eaten anytime throughout the day. Follow the portion sizes presented in your plug-and-play meal plans, and remember to stay focused on eating in threes.
Each recipe features a balance section that either tells you the recipe itself provides the correct balance of macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, and fat) or gives you the specific sides to eat along with the recipe to provide that balance. Easy to follow so there is no guessing!
